Hey [first name]
Congratulations on being elected [role - access] for [your common room]

Access Reps will be invited to Access RepCom once a term - this is your place to meet students in similar role from other Common Rooms, discuss common issues, ask questions, and share ideas. There is also a Facebook Group, list of Reps, and a shared drive just for Common Room Access Reps to use.
Target Schools is Oxford SU's home of student-run access work. We're not totally sure how long Target Schools has been around but we know Ed Miliband was once a member... so a while! Currently Target Schools runs Shadowing Days for over 200 Year 12 pupils from the UK - find out more here.
We have many training modules available for you to complete at any time here, including; Disability 101 and this training from Target Schools which covers safeguarding when working with under 18's. We can also create new training modules with you - get in touch with studentengagement@oxfordsu.ox.ac.uk if you have any ideas!
We know that as an Oxford college, you can often get a lot of attention from the local and national press- sometimes this is great, and sometimes this is challenging. If you are unsure how to respond to media requests, deal with press interest, or want help crafting a statement- our comms team are here to support you on commsmanager@oxfordsu.ox.ac.uk.
Our website is viewed around 1.1 million times per year, and you can advertise your events there by using this tutorial. We also have 18 digital screens around Oxford- if you'd like to advertise on these, contact business@oxfordsu.ox.ac.uk.
Your Common Room’s page on our website contains a mailing list of every student in your college which is updated every day- find out how to use this here. You can also upload resources to your page which only students in your college can access - click the spanner in the top right corner > Edit resources.
We're led by six Sabbatical Officers, who meet with the University and Colleges every day to make changes which benefit students. Everything they do is led by students and so if you have an idea, get in touch with them!
