bye-laws

It is important to highlight that following consultation with the Transformation Taskforce and JCR PresCom, a decision was made to ask the Trustee Board to approve a set of Interim Bye-Laws in order to provide the constitutional basis for the creation of the Conference of Common Rooms as determined by the Michaelmas 2024 student consultation. Conference will then lead on the further development of the permanent bye-laws, resulting in an all Student Member referendum in Trinity 2025.

The bye-laws currently available for consultation are as follows:

Bye-Law 1: Membership of the SU

Bye-Law 3: Officers of the SU

Bye-Law 5: Conference of Common Rooms

Bye-Law 6: Representative Committees (RepComs)

In the absence of current Bye-Laws, the Transformation Taskforce was set up to provide a consultation space lead by students. The SU is grateful to this group of students who have supported the development of these new Articles and draft bye-laws.
