Established in 2003, we celebrate the diverse experiences of India at the University of Oxford through cultural, social and academic events.
The India Society is not just a great opportunity to meet fellow Indians in the UK, but also to meet people from different courses and year groups. It's a wonderful opportunity for networking. Most importantly, we organise many events throughout the term and the vacation, including dance nights, socials, game nights, annual Diwali dinners, Bollywood Bops and more! We also conduct talks, debates and seminar on important topics related to Indian politics, culture, society and contemporary intellectual thought, and have hosted renowned speakers in the past. We also organise fund raisers and have previously donated to charitable institutions. We also run a regular book discussion club and film club!
